Mattapan Branch Library (first) opens.
June 22, 1931
Architect: Putnam & Cox. Designed in the Georgian style, it is located at 10 Hazleton Street. The library moves to a new building on Blue Hill Avenue in 2009.* The original building is converted to a Boys & Girls Club in 2014.*
